hsumiI've been in a huge art kick lately, now that I've gotten used to my tablet again. Because of this, I'm likely going to do two comics now as opposed to just the Nuzlocke comic. This means that updates will be slower, but it's because I'll be splitting my time in order to work on two stories. That said, have some character art for the second comic project I will be working on: Etrian Odyssey, the Hallia Chronicles.
Two pictures for Canaan, easily the most fun to draw. Sadly, he's such a minor character that I probably won't get to draw him much in the manga itself.
Canaan is the chief of the Winged Ones, a race of birdlike humanoids that inhabit the upper reaches of Yggdrasil. Despite having lived there for centuries, they have only recently come in contact with the humans who live at the base of the Great Tree. As such, they are shy by nature, and are rarely seen. Canaan is the exception to this, however, as he is both the leader of the Winged Ones, and their representative.
Bard DeMinstrel, Troubadour extraordinaire and potential protagonist. His name is a terrible pun, and he blames his parents for all but cursing him to being unable to become anything other than a Troubadour by giving him such a name. As it turns out, the job was perfect for him, since he's a bit of a coward and is perfectly content with supporting from the back and occasionally getting a shot in with his trusty crossbow.
Personality-wise, Bard is the farthest thing possible from a hero, but that's because he's not. He's a coward who would sooner abandon his allies when things turn bad than stay around and potentially get hurt himself. He has a terrible habit of never keeping his mouth shut when he should, and has a rather morbid sense of humor. These things have caused him to be shuffled from guild to guild, never staying long in one before getting kicked out again. While his personality leaves much to be desired, his talents are very real, and very potent, easily being the strongest member of Guild Hallia due to his previous experiences in other guilds.
